The deal
What's Good Napa is a free listing of what is happening in Napa Valley, run by one local. No ads, no fees, nobody pays to be on it. Using the site or the weekly text means these terms apply. Last updated September 2026.
What the site is
A chronological list of dated things happening in Napa, Yountville, Oakville, Rutherford, St Helena, Calistoga, Angwin and American Canyon: live music, markets, fairs, galas and one-off nights. It exists so a local can find out what is on tonight. It is not a ticket seller, not a promoter and not a tourism board, and it has no commercial relationship with any venue listed on it.
Where the listings come from, and what that means for accuracy
Every listing is read off something already public: a venue's own events page, a calendar feed, a public social post, a newsletter we joined, or a form somebody filled in. Every event page names every place we saw it and links back, so you can check any claim at its source. The full list of what we read is here.
We do not guarantee that anything listed here happens as listed. A show gets cancelled, a time moves, a price changes, a venue posts something and then quietly takes it down, and we find out late or not at all. Before you drive somewhere, check with the venue. The link on the listing is there for exactly that. If a detail is missing from a listing it is because it was missing from the source, and we would rather leave a blank than guess.
The site is provided as it is, with no warranty of any kind. Al is one person doing this in his own time and cannot be liable for a wasted evening, a sold-out show or a night that never happened.
The weekly text
Sign up at /subscribe and you get one text a week at most about events in Napa Valley. That is up to 4 messages a month, and usually fewer. On a quiet week nothing is sent.
Message and data rates may apply, from your carrier. Nothing is charged by us, now or ever.
Reply STOP to stop the messages. Reply HELP for help and a contact address. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Only sign up a number you are the account holder for, or that you are allowed to sign up.
How the numbers are handled is on the privacy page. The short version: they are never shared with anyone.
If you run a venue
Something wrong, out of date, or listed that should not be? Write to [email protected] and it gets fixed or taken down. If you would rather the site did not carry your events at all, say so and we stop reading you. No argument, no form, no negotiation.
Listings quote the dated facts of an event and link back to you. Nothing here is a claim on your artwork or your words.
Sending something in
If you submit an event or a source, you are saying it is real and that you are allowed to send it. A person reads every submission before it appears, and we can decline anything for any reason. Standing commerce and open-ended attractions do not go up, however well dressed. That is the whole point of the site.
Using the site
Read it, link to it, tell people about it. Do not hammer it with automated traffic, do not try to break it, and do not submit things that are not true. If the site ever stops, changes or disappears, that is allowed too: it is a free thing run by a person, not a service anyone is paying for.
